Goldfish was a credit card brand launched in the UK in 1996, originally as a joint venture between British Gas and HFC Bank. It became well-known for its innovative loyalty scheme, which rewarded customers with points not only for their spending but also for clearing their balance. The brand was acquired by Lloyds TSB in 2006 before being sold to Barclaycard in 2008. Barclaycard subsequently phased out the Goldfish brand and migrated the remaining customers to its own card products.
