Originally founded as the Municipal Services Bureau (MSB) in 1991 and later becoming Gila LLC, the company established itself as a leading provider of outsourced collections, payment processing, and call center services. Its primary clients included state and local government agencies, courts, and educational institutions across the United States. In 2015, Gila LLC was acquired by Navient, a major US company in education loan management and business processing solutions. Since the acquisition, Gila's operations and services have been fully integrated and rebranded under Navient's Business Processing Solutions division, continuing to offer revenue enhancement and accounts receivable management services.
