Friends Life
Information by Research Trustfinance
Friends Life Group was formed in 2011 from the merger of Friends Provident with the UK life and pensions businesses of AXA and Bupa. The company became a significant provider of life insurance, pensions, and investment products in the United Kingdom. Its mission was to help customers plan for their financial futures through a range of protection and retirement solutions. In April 2015, Friends Life was acquired by its rival, Aviva plc, in an all-share takeover. Since the acquisition, the Friends Life brand has been phased out, and all existing customer policies and services are now managed and administered by Aviva.
