Founded by renowned economist Diane Swonk, Ekay Economic Consultants, Inc. was a Chicago-based firm specializing in economic research and forecasting. The company provided in-depth analysis of the U.S. and global economies to a diverse client base, including financial institutions, corporations, and trade associations. In July 2018, the assets of Ekay Economic Consultants were acquired by Grant Thornton LLP, a leading audit, tax, and advisory firm. Following the acquisition, Diane Swonk joined Grant Thornton as its Chief Economist, and the firm's expertise was integrated into Grant Thornton's economic advisory services. The original corporate entity was formally dissolved in late 2018.
