Founded in 1980, the Economic Awareness Council (EAC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to empowering young people with essential financial knowledge and skills. The EAC's mission is to prepare students for a lifetime of financial responsibility by delivering engaging, real-world financial education in the classroom. They partner with schools and recruit volunteers from the financial services industry to teach programs on topics such as budgeting, saving, credit, debt, and investing, primarily serving students in the Chicagoland area.
