Cross Switch is a digital payment service company and part of the MFS Africa Group, one of the largest digital payment networks in Africa. The company's mission is to simplify the complexity of payment ecosystems for businesses by providing a single, reliable payment gateway. This allows merchants to accept a wide variety of payment methods, including mobile money and bank cards, through one integration. In 2023, the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) granted Cross Switch a license as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI), authorizing its operations across the eight countries of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), including Benin.
