Originally chartered in 1939 as Rantoul Air Force Base Federal Credit Union, the institution rebranded to Community Plus Federal Credit Union in 2003. It operates as a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative with a mission to serve as the primary financial institution for its members. The credit union offers a wide range of personal financial services, including savings and checking accounts, loans, and other banking products, to individuals who live or work within its designated counties in Illinois.
