Coinflash
Information by Research TrustFinance
Coinflash was a financial technology application launched in 2017. Its service was modeled after popular spare-change investment apps like Acorns. The platform worked by connecting to a user's credit or debit card accounts, rounding up each purchase to the nearest dollar, and then automatically using the accumulated "spare change" to purchase cryptocurrency on the user's behalf. The service required users to have a Coinbase account, as it used Coinbase's API to execute the crypto purchases. In May 2018, Coinflash announced its shutdown, citing changes in Coinbase's API policy that made their business model unsustainable.
