City First Enterprises, Inc. is a bank holding company that, through its subsidiary City First Bank, operates as a commercial bank and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). Its mission is to provide financial services to low- to moderate-income communities and promote economic equity. Founded in 1998 in Washington, D.C., it has a history of channeling capital to support affordable housing, small businesses, and community facilities in underserved urban areas. In 2021, City First Bank merged with Broadway Federal Bank, creating the largest Black-led Minority Depository Institution (MDI) in the nation, now operating as City First Bank, National Association.
