Founded in 2012, Carrot began as a SOFOM (Sociedad Financiera de Objeto Múltiple) and has since evolved into the first company in Mexico to receive a license to operate as an Institución de Financiamiento Colectivo (IFC) under the Fintech Law. The company is authorized and supervised by the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) of Mexico. Carrot's mission is to democratize access to credit for Mexican SMEs and provide attractive investment opportunities to the general public, facilitating economic growth through its online platform.
