Its mission is to develop and promote efficient, transparent, and secure markets for these sectors, contributing to the economic development of the country. The BMC provides a platform for price formation, trading, clearing, and settlement of transactions, offering services such as a public commodity market, a gas market, and a government procurement system (SECOP). The exchange is supervised by the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia (Financial Superintendence of Colombia).
