Its mission is to facilitate access to credit and financing for ship owners and related businesses, often when traditional banks are reluctant to lend. Operating on a principle of solidarity, members (credit providers) collectively fund loans for other members (credit seekers), ensuring that capital and industry knowledge remain within the sector.
