Banca Monte Paschi Belgio S.A. was the Belgian branch of the historic Italian bank, Monte dei Paschi di Siena, established to serve the Belgian market. It offered a range of traditional banking services to individuals and businesses. Citing a strategic decision by the parent group to refocus on its domestic market, the Belgian subsidiary ceased all its banking activities. On May 29, 2020, an Extraordinary General Meeting resolved to place the company into voluntary liquidation and it now operates under the legal name TRES S.A. for the purpose of winding down its affairs.
