Founded in 1951 as the AEDC Federal Credit Union to serve the employees of Arnold Engineering Development Center, the institution has since grown to become one of Tennessee's largest credit unions. As a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative, Ascend's mission is to serve its members and be a trusted partner in their financial success by offering a full suite of financial services, including savings and checking accounts, loans, mortgages, and investment services. Profits are returned to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher interest on deposits, and enhanced services.
