Founded in 2016 in Spain, 2gether aimed to be a "collaborative financial platform" bridging the gap between traditional finance and the crypto economy. Its primary offering was a mobile application that enabled users to trade over 30 different cryptocurrencies and a linked Visa debit card that allowed them to spend their crypto holdings directly. The company also had its own native token, 2GT. Citing the 2022 crypto market downturn and an inability to secure further funding, 2gether abruptly announced the termination of its services in July 2022 and closed its platform, blocking remaining user funds.
