Its services were designed to help businesses manage international transactions, hedge against currency fluctuations, and streamline mass payments. In August 2021, Western Union announced the sale of its Business Solutions division to Goldfinch Partners and The Baupost Group for approximately $910 million. The transaction was completed in 2022, and the entity was officially rebranded and now operates independently as Convera.
