Established in 1974, the Western Grocers Employee Benefits Trust (WGEBT) is a not-for-profit, multi-employer benefits trust fund. Its mission is to provide and manage a comprehensive package of benefits, including health, dental, disability, and life insurance, for eligible unionized employees (primarily members of UFCW Locals 1518, 401, 832, and 1400) and their dependents. The Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees with equal representation from the participating Unions and Employers, ensuring that decisions are made in the best interest of the members it serves.
