Founded in 1928 to serve state employees, Virginia Credit Union (VACU) is a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. Its mission is to improve the financial lives of its members and their communities. As one of the largest credit unions in Virginia, it offers a comprehensive suite of financial products, including personal and business banking, checking and savings accounts, mortgage and auto loans, credit cards, and investment and insurance services. Membership is open to individuals and businesses in specific Virginia communities and those associated with select employer groups.
