Touch Bank was launched in 2015 by the European OTP Group as an online, branchless bank in Russia. Its mission was to provide modern, convenient, and fully digital banking services to a tech-savvy audience, offering products like credit and debit cards, deposits, and consumer loans through a mobile app and website. Despite initial growth, the project faced challenges in reaching profitability. In early 2018, OTP Group announced the closure of the Touch Bank project, and its existing client portfolio was subsequently integrated into the main Russian subsidiary, OTP Bank (АО «ОТП Банк»).
