Spin operates electric bikes and scooters on public streets and campuses in North America and Europe. The service is accessed through a mobile app that allows users to find, unlock, and pay for their rides. Originally an independent startup, it was acquired by Ford Motor Company in 2018, then by TIER Mobility in 2022. In 2024, TIER Mobility, including the Spin brand, was acquired by Lime.
