Seqr
Information by Research TrustFinance
Seqr was a mobile payment and digital wallet service developed by the Swedish company Seamless Distribution AB. Launched in 2012, it enabled users to connect their bank account to the app to facilitate secure payments via QR codes at the point-of-sale, online, and for peer-to-peer transfers. The service aimed to be a lower-cost alternative to traditional credit card payments for both consumers and merchants. After struggling to gain significant market traction, the Seqr business unit was sold to Glase AB in 2018. The new owner subsequently shut down the consumer-facing payment service to pivot towards B2B solutions, effectively ending the Seqr brand as a public payment platform.
