The Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) is a US-based non-profit organization founded in 2014 by Jed McCaleb and Joyce Kim. Its mission is to create equitable access to the global financial system by supporting the development and maintenance of Stellar, an open-source, decentralized protocol for digital currency to fiat money transfers. The SDF helps maintain the Stellar network's codebase, manages grant programs to support businesses and developers in the ecosystem, and serves as a voice for Stellar in interactions with institutions, regulators, and the general public.
