ReitBZ was a Security Token Offering (STO) launched in 2019 by BTG Pactual, Brazil's largest standalone investment bank. The token (RBZ) was built on the Tezos blockchain and represented a fractional ownership in a portfolio of distressed real estate assets managed by BTG Pactual's real estate division. The project's mission was to democratize access to the Brazilian real estate market for global investors through a liquid, blockchain-based digital asset. In early 2023, BTG Pactual announced the mandatory redemption of all outstanding ReitBZ tokens, citing the successful recovery and sale of the underlying assets, thus concluding the project.
