Launched in December 2019, realme PaySa was the financial services arm of the smartphone brand realme in India. The platform was designed to be a full-stack financial services provider, aiming to leverage realme's large smartphone user base. Its mission was to make financial products like personal loans, business loans, screen insurance, and mutual funds more accessible to consumers and small businesses across India. However, after about 1.5 years of operation, realme announced its exit from the fintech space and shut down the PaySa business in mid-2021 to refocus on its core smart-tech products.
