Ranger Insurance Company was a Texas-domiciled property and casualty insurance company specializing in specialty commercial lines, including commercial auto, general liability, and aviation insurance. Historically a part of the Zurich Insurance Group, the company, along with its affiliates, faced financial difficulties leading to it being placed into receivership. On August 9, 2023, the company was placed into Permanent Receivership and ordered into liquidation by the District Court of Travis County, Texas, due to insolvency. All operations are now managed by a Special Deputy Receiver appointed by the Texas Commissioner of Insurance, who is responsible for winding down the company's affairs and managing existing claims.
