Founded in 1960, the Raiffeisenverband Südtirol Genossenschaft (Federation of Raiffeisen Cooperatives of South Tyrol) serves as the umbrella organization for the cooperative system in the Italian province of South Tyrol. Its mission is to support, advise, and represent its members, which include numerous Raiffeisen cooperative banks, the Raiffeisen Landesbank, and other cooperatives from various sectors. The association provides a wide range of essential services including auditing, legal and tax consulting, IT solutions, education and training, and political representation, thereby safeguarding and promoting the cooperative principles of self-help, self-responsibility, and self-administration established by Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen.
