rabodirect ireland
Information by Research TrustFinance
RaboDirect was the online savings arm of the Dutch financial group Rabobank, which launched in Ireland in 2005. It established itself as a significant player in the Irish savings market by offering competitive interest rates on its savings accounts and investment products directly to consumers, without a physical branch network. In December 2017, the company announced its decision to close its Irish operations, citing the prolonged low-interest-rate environment which made its savings-focused business model unsustainable. The bank officially closed to Irish customers and ceased all operations in May 2018 after a managed wind-down process.
