Originally established in 2006 as Prudential Vietnam Finance Company Ltd., it was the first fully foreign-owned consumer finance company licensed in Vietnam. In 2019, the company was acquired by Shinhan Card of South Korea (a subsidiary of Shinhan Financial Group) and was officially rebranded to Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Ltd. (SVFC). The company's mission is to provide accessible and innovative consumer finance solutions, including unsecured personal loans, installment loans, and credit cards, to the Vietnamese market, leveraging the global financial expertise of its parent group.
