Originally chartered in 1956 as the City of Petersburg Employees Federal Credit Union, the institution rebranded to Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union (PAFCU) to reflect its expanded field of membership. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, it is owned and operated by its members. PAFCU's mission is to provide affordable, high-quality financial services, promote thrift, and offer credit at fair and reasonable rates. The credit union offers a comprehensive suite of personal banking products, including savings and checking accounts, auto loans, mortgages, home equity lines of credit, and credit cards, all while focusing on community involvement and the financial well-being of its members.
