It used a chat-based interface to automatically identify and categorize a user's income and expenses, providing insights and advice on financial health. The core mission was to make financial management less intimidating and more accessible. In May 2018, Penny was acquired by Credit Karma, and its service was subsequently shut down as its team and technology were integrated into the Credit Karma platform.
