Founded in 2010, Paybras was a Brazilian financial technology company that specialized in online payment processing. Its platform was designed to simplify e-commerce for both local and international merchants operating in Brazil, offering integration with various payment methods, including domestic credit cards and the popular *boleto bancário*. The company aimed to bridge the gap in Brazil's complex payment ecosystem. In November 2012, Paybras was acquired by PagSeguro (now PagBank), a leading digital payments company in Brazil and part of the UOL group. Following the acquisition, Paybras' technology and operations were fully integrated into the PagSeguro platform, and the Paybras brand was phased out.
