Ofek Credit Union was established as the first cooperative financial institution in Israel, modeled after successful credit unions worldwide. As a non-profit, member-owned entity, its mission is to offer an ethical and social alternative to traditional banking by providing fair credit, savings products, and other financial services. All profits are reinvested back into the community of members through better rates and improved services, rather than being distributed to external shareholders. Ofek operates under the supervision of the Israeli Capital Market, Insurance and Savings Authority.
