Netfonds Bank AS
Information by Research TrustFinance
Founded in 1996 by Rolf Dammann, Netfonds was one of the first and leading online stockbrokers in Norway, revolutionizing the market by offering significantly lower brokerage fees and direct access to stock trading via the internet. The company held a full banking license and also offered savings accounts and other basic banking services. Known for its lean operations and technology-driven approach, it served a large base of active private investors in the Nordic region. In February 2019, Netfonds was acquired by its larger competitor, Nordnet Bank AB, and its operations and customer accounts were subsequently merged into the Nordnet platform.
