The National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) was established in 1989 as a not-for-profit company under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. Its primary mission is to finance, promote, and support income-generating schemes for the economic upliftment of individuals from the Scheduled Castes. It provides concessional finance for self-employment projects and skill-development training through its network of State Channelizing Agencies (SCAs) across the country.
