Founded in 1989, Ljubljanska borza (the Ljubljana Stock Exchange) is the central marketplace for securities in Slovenia. Its mission is to ensure a secure, transparent, and efficient environment for trading financial instruments, thereby supporting the development of the Slovenian capital market. In 2015, the Zagreb Stock Exchange acquired Ljubljanska borza, and together they form a significant regional capital market hub. The exchange facilitates capital raising for companies through initial public offerings (IPOs) and provides investors with opportunities to trade a variety of instruments, including shares, bonds, and investment funds.
