Its unique selling proposition was a "hybrid" model, featuring a centralized, non-custodial order book for high performance while ensuring fund security and trade verifiability through decentralized settlement using blockchain technology. The project received a visa from the French financial regulator (AMF) for its ICO. However, in December 2019, the company announced the closure of the Legolas Exchange platform, pivoting its focus to a new institutional-focused service called LGO Markets. LGO was later acquired by Voyager Digital in 2020.
