Korea P2P Finance Association
Information by Research Trustfinance
The Korea P2P Finance Association was established in 2016 as a voluntary, self-regulatory organization to foster a healthy ecosystem for the rapidly growing P2P lending market in South Korea. Its primary mission was to establish industry standards, create guidelines for investor protection, and represent the interests of its member companies. The association ceased its primary functions and was effectively dissolved following the enactment of the "Online Investment-linked Finance Act" in August 2020, which required P2P lending platforms to register with the Financial Services Commission (FSC) and established a new, legally mandated industry association.
