The company operated two main divisions: Risk & Insurance, which focused on specialist brokerage and risk management, and Employee Benefits, which provided pensions and benefits consulting. On April 1, 2019, Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC) completed its acquisition of JLT, integrating its operations primarily into MMC's Marsh (insurance broking) and Mercer (employee benefits) businesses.
