Established in 2006, the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR) serves as the primary forum for independent audit regulators worldwide. Its mission is to serve the public interest, particularly investors, by enhancing audit quality and oversight on a global scale. IFIAR facilitates the sharing of knowledge and best practices, promotes collaboration in regulatory activities, and provides a platform for dialogue with other international organizations that have an interest in audit quality. Membership is comprised of independent audit regulatory bodies from around the world who are responsible for the oversight of auditors and audit firms.
