Launched at the 2017 UN Climate Conference (COP23), the InsuResilience Global Partnership is a joint initiative by the G20 and the V20 (a group of 58 climate-vulnerable nations). Its mission is to stimulate the creation of effective climate and disaster risk finance and insurance (CDRFI) solutions for poor and vulnerable people. The Partnership brings together governments, civil society, international organizations, the private sector, and academia to scale up pre-arranged finance and insurance mechanisms, aiming to protect millions of vulnerable people from climate shocks.
