Originally chartered in 1935 as the Dayton Postal Employees Credit Union, the institution was renamed Heartland Federal Credit Union in 1999 to better reflect its diverse and growing membership. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, it is owned and operated by its members. Its mission is to provide affordable, high-quality financial products and services, promote thrift, and build long-term relationships to help members achieve their financial goals.
