The Government Employees Pension Service (GEPS) was established in 1982 under the Government Employees Pension Act of South Korea. Its primary mission is to provide stable and secure retirement income and welfare services to public officials and their families, thereby contributing to their financial stability after retirement. GEPS manages the entire lifecycle of the pension system, including collecting contributions, managing and investing the pension fund's assets, and disbursing pension benefits. In addition to its core pension services, GEPS also offers various welfare programs such as housing loans, scholarships, and recreational facilities for its members.
