GE Credit Solutions was a division within GE Capital, the financial services unit of General Electric. It was a leading provider of consumer credit, offering private label credit cards, installment loans, and other financing solutions to retailers and consumers across various industries. Following a major strategic shift by its parent company, General Electric, to divest from most of its financial service operations, the U.S. consumer finance division was spun off in 2014-2015 and became an independent, publicly-traded company named Synchrony Financial (NYSE: SYF), which continues these operations today.
