First West Capital was the investment arm of First West Credit Union, specializing in providing customized subordinated debt, mezzanine financing, and equity capital to mid-market businesses across Western Canada. Founded to support business growth, management buyouts, and acquisitions, the company offered flexible financing solutions that traditional lenders might not provide. In 2021, First West Capital was fully integrated into First West Credit Union's commercial banking operations to provide a more streamlined, single point of contact for business members. Its services are now offered through the credit union's regional divisions, such as Envision Financial and Valley First.
