First Generation Investors - Michigan Chapter
Information by Research TrustFinance
First Generation Investors (FGI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2018 with the mission to empower the next generation with the knowledge and skills to become successful investors. The Michigan Chapter, based at the University of Michigan, is a student-run branch that implements the FGI curriculum locally. University student volunteers are paired with high school students for an eight-week program that teaches the fundamentals of investing. Upon completion, each student is provided with real capital to invest, turning theory into practice and helping to close the wealth gap for first-generation and low-income students.
