First Capital Plus
Information by Research Trustfinance
Founded in 2009 as First Capital Plus Savings and Loans, the company experienced rapid growth in Ghana's financial sector. In 2013, it was granted a universal banking license by the Bank of Ghana and rebranded to First Capital Plus Bank. In 2015, the company rebranded again to Capital Bank. However, the bank faced severe liquidity and solvency challenges, leading the Bank of Ghana to revoke its license in August 2017 and place it into receivership as part of a wider financial sector cleanup.
