Fintech Ecosystem Development Corp. was a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), also known as a blank check company, incorporated in Delaware. It was formed for the purpose of effecting a merger, capital stock exchange, asset acquisition, or similar business combination with one or more businesses, with a primary focus on the global financial technology sector. The company raised capital through its initial public offering (IPO) on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the ticker "FEXD". After a planned business combination with the fintech firm Pismo was terminated in May 2024, the SPAC was unable to complete a different merger within its permitted timeframe. Consequently, the company announced its liquidation and the redemption of all its outstanding public shares, ceasing its operations in May 2024.
