Founded in 2016 in Berlin, Finiata aimed to solve liquidity and cash flow challenges for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), freelancers, and startups through technology. The company developed an AI-based platform to automate credit scoring and provide flexible financing options, primarily through invoice factoring (purchasing outstanding invoices) and short-term working capital loans. Its mission was to make business financing simple, fast, and accessible. In 2021, Finiata rebranded to Valendo to broaden its service offerings. In April 2022, Valendo was acquired by the Dutch fintech company Factris, and the original Finiata brand and legal entity ceased to exist.
