Founded in 2008, FeeFighters was a financial technology company created to bring transparency and competition to the merchant services industry. Its primary service was a reverse-auction platform where payment processors bid for a business's credit card processing contract, driving down fees for the merchant. In March 2012, FeeFighters was acquired by Groupon and its technology and team were integrated to launch Groupon Payments, a service aimed at Groupon's own merchant partners. The original FeeFighters.com brand and website are no longer active, and the domain now redirects to Groupon's merchant services page.
