The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) is one of 11 district banks in the U.S. FHLBank System, a government-sponsored enterprise created by Congress in 1932. As a member-owned cooperative, its mission is to provide reliable liquidity, funding, and services to its member financial institutions, which include commercial banks, credit unions, thrifts, insurance companies, and certified community development financial institutions. By offering low-cost funds (known as advances) and other financial services, FHLB Dallas helps its members facilitate housing finance, affordable housing initiatives, and community investment within its designated district.
